2024-2025
Launching Leaders in the Arts Awards Program

The Sarasota Branch of the National League of American Pen Women, Inc. (NLAPW) has put together this program to encourage self-expression and creativity and to foster further interest or education in the arts.

The competitions are open only to SENIORS (females and males) in all public high schools in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

The awards are based on competitions in Visual Arts, Letters (Writing) and Music and range from $250 to $2,000!

In addition to receiving an award, winning students will perform, read or exhibit their winning entries at the Awards luncheon held at Prestancia County Club on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Guests are also welcome to attend with a lunch purchase.

Additional opportunities will be offered to the winners to display their artwork, have their writings in print, and participate in musical performances as we help to “launch” our student’s future in the arts.
